Urban Beats

A partnership with the San Diego County Division of Behavioral Health Services, the Urban Beats program is an artistic transitional age youth program that utilizes self expressions and art to de-stigmatize mental health and social services.

Making Connections

UWEAST is currently implementing an actionable prevention plan to improve the well-being of East African boys and men, by simultaneously targeting the sociocultural, physical/built, economic, and educational environments. The “Hub” is a safe space led by and for male youth and is supervised by trained peer counselors. It is open Friday through Sunday evenings from 6:00PM – 10:00PM.
